Tarrell Reid and Matthew Peterson of Yavapai Baseball Recognized

The ACCAC has announced the 2026 ACCAC D1 Baseball postseason awards, and two Yavapai Baseball players have been recognized with postseason honors!

Yavapai Freshman Tarrell Reid has been awarded the Silver Slugger of the Year award, as well as a spot on the All-Region First Team! Reid had an incredible offensive season as a Freshman, which included 60 hits, 7 Home Runs, and a .380 Batting Average. His consistent play on the plate made him an easy choice for the award.

While there were no other Yavapai Baseball players to make the First or Second All-Region teams, Sophomore Matthew Peterson was awarded the Gold Glove at the Third Base position! Peterson, who also had a great season on offense, was a massive help on the defensive end. He had a total of 27 assists, 244 putouts, and 16 Double Plays!
